What is spey casting in the fly fishing world?

My uncle was talking about it… I don’t get it?

Spey casting is a method of casting a larger and longer two handed rod. The two handed rod and spey cast are used while fishing for big game like Steel head, Salmon, Striped Bass, and other sea or sea run fish. You tend to be able to cast further with the spay cast. It is almost similar to surf casting.
