Regis Lima Martial Arts team shines at Orlando qualifier (St. Petersburg Times)

LaRiviere, Times Correspondent** Wednesday, May 16, 2012 The Regis Lima Martial Arts tae kwon do competition team, based in Spring Hill and Port Richey, competed on April 28 in the Amateur Athletic Union Florida tae kwon do qualifier in Orlando. More than 500 competitors arrived with the goal of advancing to the AAU nationals this summer. The Regis Lima competitors earned 36 medals, with every member of the team qualifying for the national tournament in Fort Lauderdale in July. The academy also was named by the AAU as the top school in Florida for 2012. Katy Towne, Pamela Towne, Brandon Piore, Amanda LoBianco, Phillip Poulter, Camryn Hay, Tayler Mondina, Avery Nomikos, Kaira Mondina, Denice Johnson, Sarah McKenzie, Lucas Malay, Santiago Malay, Gage Sugg, Angelica Martello, Serena McNally, Kirsten Maccia, Katie Maccia , Katie Mojack and Aisha Mislay each won at least one medal.
