Is there an electronic appliance that can convert digital NTSC signals to digital PAL ?

I bought a Philips 42″ Widescreen digital Plasma HDTV and a Philips Home theatre both from Houston. I discovered I cant use it in Nigeria where the signals from Cable and TV stations is PAL. However my home theatre plays clearly in the TV. I have heard of an NTSC – PAL converter. Is it true and what is its name and description. Chika o – Port Harcourt.

There are lots of NTSC to PAL converters out there. There are also lots of PAL to NTSC converters. All one has to do is look:

Don’t expect a really good picture, though.

FYI, neither NTSC nor PAL are digital. Both are analog.

ATSC is digital. Satellite is digital. Cable may or may not be digital. NTSC and PAL definitely aren’t digital.
