Some questions about the Diamond Radeon HD 4670 Video Card?
I’m building my next PC and I will be running a Diamond Radeon HD 4670 Video Card. How good is this card for watching movies in HD, video editing and casual gaming(COD: WAW, Halo 2)? Also it says the card is CrossFireX ready so what hardware if any would I need for this if I decide to get a second video card in the future? Also what kind of performance increase would I see from running CrossFireX? I`m not really looking for extreme graphics power right now since I`ll mainly be doing process heavy applications such as audio editing and video editing which is why I went with the intel core i7 920 processor which is going to put a bit of a dent in my budget. Anyways, all help is appreaciated.
The 4670 is fine for casual gaming and watching movies, it’s definitely the best card in the $75-and-under price range.
In order to go Crossfire with a 2nd card, you’d need a motherboard that supports it. While the 4670 probably fine for your purposes, $20 more (much less than the cost of a Crossfire motherboard) moves you up to the Radeon 4830.
