Collector Fishing
Indeed, as with daughters, so it is with sons and that is, they are both blessings from God and although boys will need their Dads to teach them many things, there are also many things that they need their Mom to teach them as well.
She can teach him verbally and non-verbally, as she spends some time with him.
Therefore, if you are blessed with a son, as you embark on this road of non-verbal teaching, by spending time with him, you can set aside a particular day for the two of you to spend together.
With this day in mind, the following suggestions are put forth, but of course, these are only to here to get you started.
Go Fishing
The first activity for the outing, that you guys can do, is to go fishing and perhaps you can take him to a fishing farm. At the farm, you are in a greater position to catch some fish instead of at a pond that does not guarantee anything much.
This activity has progressed greatly, therefore, you do not have to worry about having to dig around for worms or make your own rod. The fishing farm may already have these things or you can get them at a fishing store. There are fake worms now.
Nature Adventure
As you leave the fishing area, you can head over to a Nature Reserve where you can do some nature observing.
Look under rocks to see what you will find and skip some stones if there is a pond in the area.
Walk with your binoculars and search for some rear birds and spy out the tallest tree in the area.
You can have your own agenda for the exploring, or you can book a tour, because, with so much attention given to nature these days, there are many organized tours around, that are aimed at teaching us about trees, birds and so on.
Hopefully, this will fall nicely into place, after some time of fishing.
Swimming
When the about two are over, to cool down and to spend some time splashing around, you can go swimming. There are indoors as well as outdoor pools in some location and if those are not available where you are, the beach and lakes will also do nicely.
Therefore, do not forget to pack some water and, or beach toys for you to play with.
However, when you are in the swimming location, do not forget that it is still all about the two of you spending the day together, because he may drift off into another direction when he meet new people around his age, there.
If this happens, simply nudge him back into your direction after a little while and make sure that the day ends with both of you still laughing and talking, both verbally and non-verbally.
