Cleo Fishing
I just got my goldfish. And put them in a big pottery bowl outside with fountain (I’ve had g-fish, koi before)
one hour later they leapt out . I revived them by moving water through their gills, but they had lost some scales. Is there any hope for Tony and cleo?
Hi Penny, they will probably be ok but your going to have to do some serious research & get your fish another home. I’m guessing you didn’t treat the water before adding the fish, this is what made them jump out. Untreated water to a fishe’s gills is like getting soap in your eyes. You also need a covering when housing Goldfish as even if the water is perfect they are avid jumpers.
You need a tank& one at least 20 gallons with a fitted lid & a ilter rated for over 30 gallons. The link below is an excellent resource for good Goldfish care. The scales will grow back in perfect water conditions on around 2 months.
