Does spray paint or airbrush camo look better on a gun?

So i’ve been spray painting airsoft guns for myself and my friends for a while, and i’ve gotten pretty good at it. I wanted to experiment with airbrushing because I have it on other things and it looks great. I wanted to know which one would make better camouflage on a gun (depending on the skill of the artist of course). I also wanted to know if an airbrush would hae a better clear coating, because good spray paint clear coats are hard to come by without being too glossy. If you would recoment airbrushing, where would you have me start? thanks.

Using an airbrush IS spraypainting. It’s just that an decent airbrush will give the user better contol over line width paint density and layering.

If you are good at using your cans of spraypaint, you may not see any improvement by switching to an airbrush. However, if you want to branch out to OTHER forms of artwork, you will be able to do a lot more with an airbrush.
