Conventional reel that needs no thumbing.?

I’m looking for a conventional or baitcast reel that needs no “thumbing” when casting in order to prevent a backlash. Thanks.

man i am sorry that i can not shoot you the answer that you are looking for but i have never found a bait caster out on the market that doesn’t involve some “thumbing” i have never thrown one that doesn’t involve me in slowing the line with my thumb. well i am no expert at the whole bait caster thing but i can tell you that me and bait casters don’t get along that well. i just stick with spinners. i hope this helps a little good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience
