My friend is a lesbian and her girlfriend is very hostile towards me…?

She’s been dating some girl for about 3 months now and whenever me and my friend are just hanging out together at her apartment or wherever, her girlfriend will come along and give me dirty looks and quickly lure my friend away. Her gf is the type of lesbian that is butch and tough and stuff. I’m nice to her and have never presented any negativity towards being lesbian ever. A couple of days ago she told me to stay away from my friend or she would kick my ass (I laughed and that really pissed her off for some reason). Does she think I’m competing or something? I’m a straight guy so would that possibly be another reason for her to hate me? Seriously, any help would be much appreciated.

I think that she is jealous of you. May be because you’re more closer to her girlfriend then her. I think you should try to talk to her and tell her you don’t like your friend that way
