Are you supposed to bend the bill on a New Era Baseball Hat?

I don’t really understand, because I see a lot of people leave the bill flat and leave the sticker on but doesn’t that give off a “gangster” look. Some people say when you bend the bill it basically ruins the hat. What is the proper way?

I bend mine a litte so it doesn’t give off the “gangster” look. It doesn’t ruin the hat.
