No, the picture showed a left handed reel. If the handle is on the left hand side of a baitcasting reel then the reel is a left hand reel.

For Abu Garcia baitcasting reels, left handed reels will have 1 as the last digit of the model number; reels that have 0 as the last digit of the model number is right handed. For the reel you’re looking at, 5600 and 6600 are right handed; 5601 and 6601 are left handed reels.

By the way, as long as you’re happy with the location of the handle, it doesn’t really matter if it is a right handled model or a left handed model. I am right handed and I like to use right handed Spinning Reels, left handed baitcasting reels and right handed conventional reels. I like to use left handed baitcasting reel because you cast a left handed baitcasting reel with your right hand; I do not need to switch the rod and reel to my left hand after every cast. Like baitcasting reels, right handed conventional reels got handles on the right hand side. I do not use left handed conventional reels because I want to use my strong arm to crank the handle; I want extra power and endurance so I could handle big, long running fish better.
