What type of grease do I need for a bicycle chains and ball bearings?

I have simple 1 speed beach crusier bike that I am repairing. I cleaned the ball bearings and chain but need to regrease them and don’t know what to use.

I would suggest teflon based grease for bearings. There are several brands – White Lightning, Dupont etc. Tri-flow grease from Finish Line is great for chains. It’s sold in small bottles – real toxic stuff that will eat into your hands, but keeps your chain nice and smooth for many miles. The key for any grease to work – parts should be very clean before application.
