baitcasting reel fills up on one side?

My baitcasting reel start to fill up one one side after 3-4 casts, what could make this happen and is it bad?

If you don’t have a Line Guide (the little piece on the reel that the line goes through as it’s exiting the reel), and this is a baitcaster, then you need to be controlling line lay with your finger as you’re reeling in. If the reel DOES have a line guide, then it will be situated on a worm gear with a pawl being what tracks back and forth, causing the guide to move back and forth. If you have a guide there, then it seems to be broken/disrepair.
