What adjustments do I have to make to a bait caster reel before casting?
I’m really fushtrated with my first bait caster. Twice I backlashed so bad I had to take a knife to the line and take off yards! I quess you can’t just take it out of the box and use it like a spinning reel.
Ya’ got that right ie., one just can’t take it outta’ the box and use it as quickly as a Spinnin’ Reel. Here’s some video links that’ll explain better than I can by typin’. Good luck and once ya’ get the hang of it guaranteed you’ll see the advantages over your spinnin’ reel. Just keep in mind that both type reels have their adsvantages when it comes ta’ different situations of fishin’, along with that particular species of fish your goin’ for
