Is anyone interested in Ice Fishing?
When you think about the ice fishing the difference between the success and failure can be the planning before venturing out for ice fishing. So to know how well you have planned for ice fishing look at the following tips:
Early purchase can be helpful
Take a note of the supplies you needed and used last year of the season and have them replenished early. You should have Lindy Tazers or Glo-Busters Bluelights. You should always keep in mind the 4 words and they are: Wise up, stock up.
Always look for the holes which are on the floor of the ice
To be very clear you should ensure that the hole is clear. If there are chunks of ice or chips it can cause entanglement in the fishing line and may ruin the chances of getting the fish. It could also damage the line thus jeopardizing your chances of catching any bluegill, the prize catch you always longed for. There fore the mantra is to keep the hole clean and clear of any obstacles.
Try to get the big 4: Fish more!
You cannot go without minnows, assorted Power Bait wax worms and maggots. It is always advisable to keep these baits separated. They should also be kept alive and coolers can be used like Coleman.
Clean the all up
Always scrutinize the rod and fishing reels and clean it which you will be using. Q-tips are the most suitable to take out the cranny and every nook of the ice rod and it should be used to keep the rod clean. You can also use the Non-freezing oil for lubing the fishing reels is recommended.
Heat Up
Always remember to carry the heaters and along with it large number of propane cylinders. If you really want to have fun while Ice fishing then you should not be as cold as these ice fishes are.
House up
The ice is cold and harsh but it does not mean that you should also feel its harshness. The Ice tents should be cleaned and this can be done by putting over a small coat of lubricant at the tent joints. If you find that there is some damage in the tent then you should not hesitate to contact the manufacturer so that they can send the correct repair kit as necessary.
Gear Up
Precautions are better than cure. So be ready for all the eventualities. Make sure you have life guard spikes and the safety ropes.
