How do you make the spinning effect on DSi Flipbook app?

Well, I downloaded Flipbook app 2 days ago. I have been drawing some fighting action scenes but i don’t know how to do the spinning effect like when they spin a sword for example…Help?

(let me state for the record that almost all of the Special Effects in that are intentionally done as jokes — like the words “white line” appearing on the, well, white line …)

the spinny i used is just a circle (or oval) with a squiggly “hourglass” shape running through the axle. it’s hard to explain, but if you watch frame-by-frame it’ll make sense. rotate the “hourglass” very slightly each frame

there are a couple of other ways to show spins, but i’ve had the best luck with this one. it works best at speed 6, but can be slowed down to 4 without looking too bad
